General informations about the department
The department of urban planning was separated from the department of architectural design in 1982 and associate professor AS Uralov was appointed as the first head of the department. Associate professors A.S. Uralov, S.U.Odilov, Sh.Sh.Shukurov and A.Hudoyberdiev made a great contribution to the formation of the department.
Since August 28, 1999, the department was renamed the "Urban Planning and Land Cadastre" in connection with the accession of the department "Land Management and Land Cadastre." On October 25, 2004, by the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute Protocol No. 79-U, the name of the department was renamed “Land Management and Land Cadastre”. Since August 2012, the name of the department was renamed to "Urban Construction and Cadastre", and on April 14, 2015, by the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute Protocol No. X-50, the name of the department was renamed to "City Construction and Economy". In 1984-1989 the head of the department was associate professor B. Balgaev, 1989-1993. - Associate Professor I.S. Shukurov, 1993-1998. - Associate Professor S.O.Odilov, in 1999-2006. Associate Professor N. Muradullaev, in 2006-2012. senior teacher A.R. Rakhimov, 2012-2018 - Associate Professor A. Khudoyberdiev.
From March 28, 2018 to the present, the temporary head of the department is R.M. Achildiev.
In the past years, teachers of the departments of IISS, Professor D.S. Samoilov, Associate Professor RF Lukushuk, Associate Professor L.P. Nesvitaev, as well as teachers of the departments of the Moscow Architectural Institute, Professor V.V. Leontovich and Associate Professor OS Rastorguev participated in the interdepartmental exchange of experience and the transfer of knowledge to students.
In the period of the department in the direction of "Urban Planning". defended his thesis S.O. Odilov in 1983, I.S. Shukurov in 1986, A. Khudoyberdiev in 1989, Zh.Yu. Yunusov in 1989, B.A. Khudoiberdiev in 1990 and A.T. Ismoilov in 1990.
In 1990, the International Scientific Conference was organized at SamGASI. More than 50 leading experts in the field of "Urban Planning" participated. In 2006, the Department of Land Management and Land Cadastre for the first time took part in the Tempus project of the European Union, winning a grant from the Samarkand Institutes under the program Land Management in Uzbekistan YEP 26100-2005 TACIS worth 315,000 euros. In October 2006, the staff of the department associate professors. Muradullaev N. and Associate Professor. A.Rakhimov visited Stockholm on a working visit to Sweden and took part in a two-week training seminar on the Tempus project.
In November 2007, associate professors Sh. Davlatov and B. Karshiev paid a working visit to Finland in the city of Helsinki and took part in a two-week seminar on the Tempus project. On the initiative of the department, on April 19-20, 2002, an international scientific-practical conference "Problems of development of the cadastral service and real estate market" was held in Samarkand, which was attended by over 250 specialists from such countries as Russia, Sweden, Holland,
Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. On March 13-14, 2005, the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of Cadastral Service and Real Estate Market Development" was held, in which more than 200 specialists took part.
At these two conferences, teachers of the department presented opinions on the problems of real estate market development. Currently, the department consists of 11.5 established units, where 15 teachers conduct teaching activities. Among them: 2 candidates of technical sciences, associate professors, 8 senior teachers and 5 assistants. The scientific potential of the department is 13%, the average age of the faculty is currently 42 years. Currently, the department has a bachelor's degree in the direction of 5340300 - "Urban Construction and Economy" and a magistracy in the specialty 5A 340302 "Urban Transport Facilities and Communications".
For many years of activity, employees of the department conduct training on the basis of state standards and curricula for a bachelor’s degree. Direction: 5340300 - “Urban Construction and Economy”, 5111000 - Professional Education (5340300 - Urban Construction and Economy), for the Master’s degree degree 5A340302 - “Urban transportation and communications ”and training in 21 disciplines.
The department carries out external scientific communication with leading universities and research institutes of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The department is provided with material and technical resources, scientific and pedagogical staff and information systems. The system of continuing education has been strengthened by the Samarkand regional administration of construction and architecture. In order to strengthen theoretical knowledge, students undergo introductory and practical training in the “Me’morqurilish loyiha” MCHJ, “Yo‘l loyihalash” MCHJ in Samarkand and OOO “RARVIZ PROEKT SERVIS”. Advanced training and retraining of faculty professors and teachers of the department is held in the Tashkent Architectural and Construction Institute.
