History of Faculty 

The Faculty of Architecture came out from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering in 1969.Today, over 90 professors and lecturers work at the Faculty of Architecture. Leading architecture specialists M.Kh. Akhmedov, A. S. Uralov, K.D. Rakhimov are members of the Scientific Council for the award of scientific degrees at the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction.“Honored Mentor of Youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan” - professor A. S. Uralov and “Honored Worker of Arts” -  professor E. M. Mukhammadiev is the pride of our institute.  From 2017 to the present, the structurt of the Faculty of Architecture of the State Architectural and Civil Engineering Institute itself  has been replenished with 4 Doctors of Philosophy in Architecture (PhD): Manoev S.B, Bolgaleva Sh.A., Sadikova S.N., Rakhimov L.А.The Faculty of Architecture is a scientific and administrative department of SamSIACE operates according to the national program for the training highly qualified personnel. The process of training and education of students in relevant areas of education are continuously and harmoniously conducted; coordinates the scientific and educational activities of the departments.

THE FOLLOWING DEPARTMENTS ARE OPERATING AT THE FACULTY:

  • Architectural design;
  • Architectural theory and history;
  • Interior and landscape design;
  • Fine arts;
  • Architectural and design organization of rural areas;
  • Engineering graphics and computer design;
  • Physical culture and sports.

FAKULTY PREPARES BACHELOR’S DEPARTMENTS IN THE FOLLOWING FIELDS OF ADUCATION:

  • 5341100 - Architecture (by type);
  • 5150900 - Design (by type);
  • 5341000 - Architectural and design organization of rural areas;
  • 5341700 - Reconstruction and restoration of architectural monuments;
  • 5342000 - Urbanistcs, urban planning;
  • 60212200 - Preservation of cultural heritage sites.

PREPARES MASTERS IN THE FOLLOWING SPECIALTIES:

  • 5A150901 - Design: interior design
  • 5A340101 - Architecture of buildings and structures
  • 5A340102 - Theory and history architecture, restoration of architectural monuments
