History of the department
The department was founded in 1971 as part of the department "Industry and Civil Engineering" on the basis of "Mechanics of grinding machines, foundations and foundations." The first head of the department is the Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Uzbekistan, Ph.D., prof. EM Handel laid the foundation.
In subsequent years, the department was headed by a candidate of technical sciences, assistant professor. A.S. Buslov (1975-77), Ph.D., Assoc. A.M Mirzaev (1977-82), Ph.D., associate professor. M.M. Hankeldiev (1983 - 84 years), PhD, associate professor. Z.S. Sirozhiddinov (1984 - 89 years old), doctor of technical sciences, doc. Madatov A. (2013-2014), F.A. From September 1, 2005, the departments "Fundamentals and Fundamentals of Ground Mechanics" and "Technology of Construction Production" were merged, and the department "Building Technologies and Geotechnics" was created. Since 2013, the department of geotechnical and building technologies has been reorganized and transformed into the department of "Roads, foundations and foundations"
Currently there are 2 doctors of science, 5 candidates of science, associate professors, 3 senior teachers and 5 assistants. September 20-22, 1982, the II Symposium "Alliance of Grandees" was held at the institute taking into account the achievements and achievements of the scientists of the department. The conference was attended by scientists from the countries of the former Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia and Hungary
In September 1992, at the initiative of scientists of the department in Central Asia and Kazakhstan, the first regional international conference was held on the theme “Problems of construction and design of buildings in non-permanent networks”. The conference was attended by prominent scientists from the CIS countries (Moscow, Kiev, Odessa, Kuzbass, Vladivostok, St. Petersburg, Poltava, Tyumen, Dnepropetrovsk, Dushanbe, Almaty, Karaganda, Dzhambul, Barnaul)
The scientists of the department continue their research on topical issues of the foundations of the republic. The main areas of scientific research are the problems of fundamentally new problems in extremely gray soils, assessment of soil stagnation, methods for determining bases and reliability of foundations, modern buildings and structures, including assessment and strengthening of the technical condition of foundations and foundations of historical monuments.From members of the department in 1993 Z.S. Sirozhiddinov and A.Z. Khasanov successfully defended his doctoral dissertation. To date, the department has received about 15 copyright certificates
