History of the department
The Department of "Architectural Design" was established in September 1996 with the assistance of the first rector of the institute R. R.Abdurasulov.
In the first years of the department were invited teachers of the Moscow Architectural Institute and the Leningrad Engineering and Engineering Institute, qualified architects. In 1999-2000, the young specialists of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute, R.Egamberdiev, A.Uralov, R.T.Toshtemirov, M.Kh.Akmedov, A.Garanov joined the team. After that, the chair is formed by the architect, who graduated from the SamDAS. Department of "Architectural Design" has always been developed and expanded as one of the major departments of the Institute.
Nowadays there are 28 professors and teachers in the department. Among them 1 doctors of sciences, professors, 4 candidates of sciences, associate professors, 1 philosophy doctor in architecture, 7 senior teachers, 7 teachers-assistants and 5 trainees.
Currently, the department carries out scientific and pedagogical activity with 2 masters specialties and 1 bachelor degree in architectural education. The department also deals with preparation of doctors and doctors of philosophy in the field of architecture. Up to now, the department has more than 1,000 architects and bachelors, more than 100 masters, more than 10 arch-designers and doctors of philosophy.
Nowadays, graduates of the department (bachelors and masters) are working not only in the regions of the country, but also in foreign and neighboring countries.
